An exquisite antique Georgian Stuart crystal ring beautifully preserved from the 18th Century. The rock crystal has been expertly cut, allowing a clear window through to the back where a gold wire cipher can be seen, backed with a lovely, pink foil.
Stuart Crystal rings were a type of memorial ring and made to show support for the house of Stuart after the execution of King Charles I in 1649. They remained popular until the mid 18th Century and are extremely rare and sought after today.
The stone is held in a close back, silver mount with an 18ct gold band at the back. It’s a rare and highly collectable piece of history and one to be treasured.
